Reporting from UMSOfficialid, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) again held offline and online graduations for the period II and III Academic Year 2020/2021. The graduation was held for 2 days, namely Tuesday – Wednesday (6-7/4/2021) which consisted of 2 sessions each day, namely the morning session and the afternoon session at the UMS Edutorium.
This time, as many as 228 graduates took part offline and 134 online graduations were held using strict health protocols. The graduation ceremony was also monitored by the Solo City Covid-19 Task Force and the UMS Covid 19 Task Force.
Graduation participants are required to show the results of the Covid-19 antigen test before participating in the graduation ceremony and at the time of graduation registration participants are required to fill out health tracking. Not only that, every graduate is checked for body temperature, and directed to wash their hands before entering the building.
Before and after the event took place, disinfectant was sprayed by officers from the UMS Covid-19 task force and the Surakarta Covid-19 Task Force, where one seat and another were spaced approximately 2 meters apart.
On the occasion of Graduation batch 1, Tuesday (6/4/2021), UMS Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sofyan Anif, M.Si gave a message to graduates so that UMS graduates have personalities who like to read and like to help.
Sofyan also asked UMS graduates to always improve their literacy level. “UMS graduates must have personalities who like to read and love to help. Must increase the level of literacy, “said Sofyan Anif. (Muh. Ilyas – Public Relations).
This graduation period, the Master of Civil Engineering graduated 4 students.
